WhatsApp is one of the most widely used messaging programs. It’s a place where you may acquire various things, including audio files. Receiving audio files comes in handy when the other person has a lot to say. You can listen to an audio message instead of reading numerous long paragraphs. You can speed things up by adjusting the audio speed to be too long. When there’s a WhatsApp audio you’d prefer to forget about, there are a few options for deleting it. You can always attempt the second approach if the first doesn’t work.
How to Find and Delete Audio Messages on WhatsApp
The conversation is the first place you should go if you want to find the WhatsApp audio you want to delete. You may now long-press the audio and look for the trash symbol at the top of the screen. You may only see the Delete for me option depending on the time. If it’s been less than an hour, you’ll be given the choice of deleting it for everyone or just yourself.
If you’re having problems deleting your WhatsApp audio in this manner, there is another option. You may always use a File Manager to look for the WhatsApp Audio.
Google Files, for example, is the file manager on my smartphone. For the lesson, I’ll be using this app, although there are many other file managers to select from on Google Play. Once you’ve opened the app, select the Audio option, and then slide left on the tabs until you find the WhatsApp audio tab.
You’ll notice a list of your audios when you head to the WhatsApp tab. Tap on the audio to verify that it is the correct audio. The file will open if you press twice, and you’ll have the choice to skip to the next track, advance or rewind 10 seconds, delete, or share the file. If you don’t need to open the file since you know it’s the right one, touch the dots to the side to remove it. In a new window, you’ll find a variety of alternatives. You can select from the following options:
- Open with Rename and Share
- Favorite this page
- Move to the Trash Folder and then to the Safe Folder.
- Google Drive as a backup
- Information about the file
It’s as simple as that. As you can see, there is two methods to locate your WhatsApp audio files.
